Whichever song you pick, the method is the same — and it’s the method teachers charge for:
- Listen first. Play the demo on the song page (or recall the tune) so your ear knows the target.
- Go microscopic. Learn two to four notes at a time. Repeat until the movement is automatic before adding the next group.
- Chain it. Connect the small groups into phrases, then phrases into sections. Never practice a mistake — slow down instead.
- Perform it. Play the whole piece from start to finish, slowly, with steady time. Recording yourself works wonders.
